Linguistics Readings

Everything needs a name, the more believable it is, the more believable the story will seem. If you’ve every heard of “literary familiarity” then you can probably guess what we’re getting at. Names should sound like they are, or could be, real, especially within the setting you are describing. Having material which isn’t even consistent with (the usage of) your own primary language makes things difficult.
